The homeowner approached The Leicester Landscaping Company seeking a complete transformation of their tired and overgrown outdoor space. The existing garden was dominated by patchy grass, worn paving, and weathered fencing, giving the area a neglected and uninviting feel. The layout lacked structure, practicality, and visual appeal, making it difficult for the homeowner to enjoy or make meaningful use of the space.
To achieve this, the client selected our full design and construction service, ensuring a fully managed transformation from initial concept through to final installation.

Design Concept
Our design team developed a concept focused on structure, clarity, and modern simplicity. The new layout emphasised crisp edges, clean routes, and a fresh green lawn framed by warm natural textures. Key features of the design included:
1. Raised Timber Border with Stainless-Steel Balustrade
A bespoke raised timber edging was constructed along the lawn, adding height variation and a strong architectural element. Stainless-steel balustrading was installed above, giving the space a contemporary character while subtly defining the garden boundary without blocking light or views.
2. Premium Natural Stone Pathway
The tired existing paving was replaced with a beautifully laid natural stone pathway running along the house. This instantly upgraded the look and functionality of the garden, providing a clean, durable, and visually refined walkway.
3. Renewed, Healthy Lawn Area
The uneven, overgrown grass was removed and replaced with a fresh, vibrant lawn. Framed by the new raised edging and crisp gravel borders, the lawn now offers a clean and practical central space that feels spacious and uplifting.
4. Gravel Detailing and Border Finishes
Subtle gravel borders were incorporated to separate the stone pathway from the timber retaining edge, adding texture and enhancing drainage while maintaining a neat, modern appearance.
Construction Phase

- Removal of all overgrown vegetation, old paving, and debris
- Installation of the raised timber retaining structure
