Complete Garden Re-Design by The Leicester Landscaping Company
Client Brief
The homeowner contacted The Leicester Landscaping Company seeking a full overhaul of their garden, which had become overgrown, unstructured, and difficult to use. The space was dominated by long, unmanaged grass, encroaching weeds, and an ageing timber summerhouse tucked into the back corner.
They selected our full design-and-build package to ensure the project moved smoothly from concept through to completion.

Design Concept
Our design team produced a layout that transformed the previously wild and uneven space into a beautifully organised, plant-rich garden. The new design focused on structure, symmetry, and visual balance. Key features include:

Instead of one large mound of grass, we created a structured centrepiece filled with a mix of shrubs, perennials, and seasonal colour. This becomes the visual anchor of the entire garden.
2. Decorative Gravel Pathways
Curved gravel paths were added around the borders, providing clear circulation while softening the overall layout. These paths separate planting areas and make the garden much easier to maintain.
3. Timber Trellis Screening
To elevate the boundaries and add texture, we installed wooden trellis panels. These provide a warm backdrop for planting and enhance privacy without feeling heavy.
4. Raised Timber Planters
Along one side we introduced raised planters to add height variation and allow for structured, colourful flower displays. These create instant visual impact and frame the walkway beautifully.
5. Patio Integration for Outdoor Seating
A paved area with natural stone slabs creates a practical zone for dining or relaxing, seamlessly linking the house to the new garden design.
6. Rich Soft Landscaping
The planting scheme includes:
• Evergreen structure for year-round interest

• Textural grasses and ferns for softness
• Feature shrubs and statement foliage plants
Construction Phase
