The homeowner approached our team seeking a complete transformation of their front garden and driveway. The existing layout, while full of mature planting, had become overgrown, uneven, and visually dated, making the front of the property feel closed-in and lacking kerb appeal.

Design Concept
Our designers developed a contemporary, structured layout that opened up the space while keeping it warm and characterful. The new plan focused on clean lines, balanced planting, and a cohesive palette of materials.
1. Large Decorative Gravel Driveway
The old mixed planting was replaced with a sweeping, uniform gravel driveway. This instantly:
- Expanded the visual width of the frontage
- Provided ample parking space
- Created a clean, modern backdrop for architectural plants
2. Defined Planting Borders
Curved borders were introduced to soften the geometry and add natural flow. These include:
- Evergreen structure for year-round presence
- Colourful perennials and groundcover plants
- Dwarf conifers and ornamental shrubs for height variation
3. Modernised Entrance Approach
A smart, simplified pathway and minimal potted plants frame the front door, giving the entrance a crisp, tidy and inviting feel.
4. Feature Gravel Bed With Statement Plants
A low-maintenance focal bed—featuring stone mulch and sculptural plants—creates visual interest without cluttering the space.
5. Enhanced Privacy & Boundary Lines
Existing fencing was retained but visually softened by the new planting scheme and the clearer, cleaner layout.
Construction Phase
Our landscaping team carried out a full overhaul of the front garden, including:
- Removal of all overgrown and outdated planting
- Full excavation and re-levelling of the driveway area
- Laying of new high-quality decorative gravel
- Installation of feature beds with stone mulch
- Introduction of fresh structural planting
- Finishing touches including edging, pots, and pathway refinement
The transformation was completed efficiently, with consistent communication throughout.
